All of our alligator hunts occur on the public waters of Florida and coincide with the Florida Wildlife Commission alligator hunting seasons, rules and regulations.

All alligator hunts are done out of our custom GatorTrax surface drive boat equipped with LED lights and all equipment required.

Alligator hunting Florida’s public waters is a thrill everyone should try at least once in their life! We specialize in the Central Florida area and scout our areas all year to get you on the best alligators. Every situation requires slight changes in the approach, so we utilize snatch hooks, bait or harpoon to best fit the situation and meet your needs.

Alligator tags are issued by Florida Wildlife Commission through a lottery applied for in mid May of every year, so please contact us prior to applying to discuss which areas we recommend for the upcoming year. Due to being a lottery, there is no guarantee of you drawing your own tags. In this situation, we will have a limited number of tags available for those that are not successful in the random drawing.

Most hunts are successful in one trip, although due to the unpredictable nature of hunting, more than one may be required. In the rare event of no alligator being harvested due to any circumstances, a fee of $200 will be charged to cover boat and fuel costs per hunt. This fee is waived once an alligator is harvested and included in the harvest hunt prices listed above. The average alligator is between 9-10’ and much larger ones are common, allowing us to cater your hunt to your needs. There are no hidden fees and all prices are listed above. In the case of a severely “bob-tailed” alligator, size will be closest estimated based on amount of tail missing.

Hunts include all equipment required and free transportation of your trophy to one of Florida’s licensed processors. For anyone other than the licensed tag holder participating in the hunt, a $52 alligator trapping agent license is required by the state and is available for purchase at gooutdoorsflorida.com.
