  • - Trophy Catfish Bowfishing - April-Mid June (4 hour day or night) $400

For our experienced shooters, this is a seasonal charter, running Mid-April through Early/Mid-June. The amount of rainfall Central Florida receives directly affects the timing of this trip’s availability, so call for a real time report. We follow the giant breeder channel catfish during their migration. Fish exceeding 25 pounds are a common occurrence and fish around 10-15 pounds are the normal. Due to where these large catfish are located deeper shots are sometimes required, although we will do our best to get them up in the shallows for you.

During this trip you will get opportunities and other species such as tilapia and gar along the way, although we will be targeting areas known for giant catfish.

Come experience the thrill of bowfishing Florida’s rivers, lakes and springs. Feel the excitement of watching your arrow sink into that fish of your dreams! While on your bowfishing adventure, you will get to experience all that Central Florida has to offer. whether it be watching an alligator sunbathing on the shore, seeing river otters playing by the boat or a manatee slowly floating by, your sure to have a trip you’ll never forget.

Whether you are new to the sport, or a seasoned veteran, we will customize your trip to fit your needs and wants. For the first timers, we will cover all the basics and make sure you are comfortable with the equipment prior to heading out on your trip. Bowfishing is done out of our custom GatorTrax mud boat made to get you back into the backwaters where most others can only dream about. All equipment is provided, although you are welcome to bring your own if you would like. We have a variety of different bows so everyone can find that perfect fit.

Locations vary depending on where the fish are located as well as water clarity and weather. Most freshwater bowfishing charters occur along the beautiful St. John’s river from Sanford in the south to Lake George in the north, along with the Harris Chain of Lakes, dependent on where the concentrations of fish are at the time of year.

Although bowfishing is available throughout the year in Central Florida, the peak time for our freshwater charters is from mid March through July as this is when the largest variety of fish are found in the shallows. Bowfishing is still great the remainder of the year and make for amazing trips, but are more species specific. For daytime trips, please bring your own polarized sunglasses and hat.
